As a company working in collaboration with Telefónica Investigación y Desarollo, Tecsidel needs to carry out a constant selection of professionals who are highly committed and of great technical and human value, allowing Tecsidel’s telecommunications department to take part in the most advanced technological projects. ONO

- ONO

ONO, a leading communications and broadband entertainment company, has chosen Tecsidel as a supplier for the integration of a global alarm supervision platform, renewing their trust in our responsibility for the current platform.

ONO offers integrated telephone, television and Internet services to residential clients. It has 3.4 million services hired and 6 million users in the residential segment. ONO also offers high added value telecom services to SMEs, large companies and institutions. ONO has their own last generation 45,000 Km fiber optic network. ONO closed 2005 with a total income of €1.7 billion total income and an operating income of €548 million (EBITDA).

At Tecsidel, as a partner of IBM/Micromuse since 1999, we have capitalized on our experience in many Netcool projects in the Center for Operation Support Systems. Tecsidel has provided services to all major Spanish operators. Most of the projects were developed in ONO (RA). We were the main partner in the largest active project in a Micromuse environment, which is the implementation of the current RA architecture. It is worth mentioning that this solution is highly stable, generates minimal events and has no impact on the service. In addition, Tecsidel provides support services on several management systems, including RA, which guarantees the responsibility of new Tecsidel implementations in that environment. Our knowledge of ONO work procedures and being in tune with their business culture can be seen in the way we adapt to the tempo of our client's projects. Telefónica

- Telefónica Móviles

Tecsidel supplies Telefónica Móviles with the most scalable service assurance tool for feature management available on the market. Tecsidel will carry out an update and migration of the website Proviso in order to adapt to the new features offered by the latest version of the said site. The project foresees the creation of a datamart compatible with the former version and with the maintenance of corporate reports and customizations of the site, as well as providing second level support. With this tool, Telefónica Móviles can have information in real time about the use and quality of its corporate and commercial networks.

Orange

- Orange

Orange has awarded Tecsidel the enrichment of their expert system for event analysis to equip it with business intelligence by developing a customized solution.

In July 2005, France Telecom, a global telecom operator, announced the purchase of Amena, the third mobile operator in Europe and the one with highest growth in Spain in the past few years. Thus, the company completed their strategy as an integrated operator in Spain, allowing them to offer multiple play products (land line telephony+mobile+Internet+TV). Since October 2006, Orange has become the only commercial brand of France Telecom on the Spanish market for all of their communication services. Through Orange, the company gives services in Spain to close to 11 million mobile telephony clients and over 1.1 million Internet access clients. Likewise, over 7 million Internet users in Spain can enjoy the Web via the general orange.es portal.

Auna

- AUNA

AUNA Telecommunications has hired Tecsidel to provide AT3 support for several of their network management systems. One of the most important systems is the INQS (Integrated Network Quality System) for publishing information on network quality, the performance management system based on Proviso QUALLABY and the alarm management system that is based on the Micromuse Netcool suite. Basically, our support covers the resolution of events that may arise during system operations, in the 5x8 mode and with the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) requested by the client.

AUNA Telecommunications counts on Tecsidel’s collaboration to develop and extend the systems, and also to renew the maintenance and support envisaged for coming years.

Auna

- AUNA

AUNA has integrated the management of voice, data and cable networks in only one platform. The OSS section of Tecsidel’s Telecommunications Department brought together in one sole technological platform the various solutions based on the suite Netcool, leader in software for real-time service quality guarantees. The aims achieved are the following:

  • Unification of Cable, Voice and Data infrastructure management systems with which an infrastructure and common supervision policy for all networks is achieved.
  • Modernization of versions of the modules that make up the solutions: all the components in the latest versions distributed by the manufacturer (OS 3.6), which allows the strength of the system to be increased and new automations like High Performance Generis Clear to be accessed, and in this way achieve a better use of hardware resources.
  • System with high availability: there is a complete architecture for fault tolerance which allows the system to be protected against individual crashes of the processes Object Server and Impact. This architecture reduces the periods the system may be unavailable and, what is more, the separation of the collection and correlation layers by each one’s Object Server increases the capacity of global supervision of the platform, exceeding sustained peaks of 70,000 alarms resident in the memory. Thanks to the integration of data, voice and cable networks, Auna Telecomunicaciones has a sole global supervision platform equipped with fault tolerance functions, which permits important savings in systems maintenance and reduces the periods of unavailability of the system. In addition, the platform serves as a base for future developments in supervision of customer services thanks to the possibility, previously inexistent, of defining reports with global information to facilitate the taking of decisions common to the heterogeneous environments being managed.

Auna

- AUNA

Tecsidel develops the tool THOT within the boundaries of the network management systems integration work it is carrying out for AUNA Telecomunicaciones. The task of this tool is to carry out diagnoses of service availability, based on the coordinated control of tests done "in situ", on part of the elements of the network which supervise these. The technological platform that THOT is based on uses components common to the server side of ISSBO, the reporting solution developed and marketed by Tecsidel which has been incorporated by AUNA Telecomunicaciones’ site INQS (Integrated Network Quality System) since 2003.

THOT is of great use in verifying the performance of the services offered by this operator, especially in the phases of service delivery, checking and fault diagnosis.

- Converging IP Management

Tecsidel has presented a set of services which make up the new vision of telecommunications network management, with the aim of providing solutions for telecommunications operators through Converging IP. The solution developed by Tecsidel comes from the fusion (or, to be more specific, the takeover of Quallaby by Micromuse) of two of its partners of several years: MicroMuse, leading provider of telecommunications software for the real-time, ultra scalable Service Assurance; and Quallaby, specialized in service and telecommunications network management, with ultra-scalable solutions for analysis and report generation for Network Service Providers (NSPs). Tecsidel’s "Converging IP Management" is an integrated IP service management solution (centered on triple play and VOIP); it has a 3rd level support service on Micromuse infrastructures and an evolutionary support out-tasking service on Micromuse infrastructures.

According to Jordi Galera, Tecsidel’s Director of Business Development, The technological changes we are experiencing create the need of a new way of managing networks, which Tecsidel is providing, along with its associates Micromuse y Quallaby. The increase in the number of components to be managed, more IP appliances and scalability are becoming key elements in feature management and a mark-up for operators.

Converging IP brings with it new services with specific and high-level quality requirements, with a real convergence of voice traffic, data and fixed as well as mobile access in the world of network management. The networks are, at the same time, more uniform but distributed, with widespread sources of information requiring a type of IP management orientated to quality. The “service guarantee” with a clear orientation towards the client is a fundamental element that Tecsidel requires in a management solution. The new generation networks (NGNs) that are just making their first moves will be simple, dependable, IP cheap, sensitive to the traffic that travels along them, self-adapting and self-protected. However, the management tools must make up for the lack of specialization of the components and must have a high level of scalability, allowing the operators to obtain the greatest benefit possible with maximum client satisfaction. Tecsidel breaks onto the converging IP market and takes advantage of its privileged position with two of the leaders in these solutions: Micromuse y Quallaby.

Iberbanda

- Iberbanda

Iberbanda is a global broadband telecommunications operator which offers advanced services for high-speed Internet access, data transmission, telephony and mark-up network services. Moreover, the company markets network renting services, for transport and access, aimed at applications service providers (ASP), Internet service providers (ISP) and other telecommunications operators.

Iberbanda is a national and alternative operator thanks to the opening of its own broadband network access. For the construction of this network the company uses the most advanced communication technologies, like WiMAX, which allows radio transmission of very broad bands with wide coverage. Iberbanda has relied on Tecsidel’s OSS (Operation Support Systems) Centre to carry out several projects related to the management of its transport network. At present, this LMDS operator is undergoing a process of full expansion and has found in Tecsidel an effective ally to carry out its plans.

NeoSky

- NeoSky

Tecsidel has designed and implanted the network report management platform for Neo-Sky, operator of LMDS services. El The system uses Proviso Dataview and Proviso Datamart as a basis for the generation of reports and as a source of data for its incident generation tool at a service level. It collects information both from the ATM network used as a backbone and from the IP network supported by the former. The reports contain data at the level of main circuits, PVCs circuits and others.

NeoSky

- NeoSky

Tecsidel has implanted and configured a platform which manages the automatic provision of pre-selection of clients. The system responds to the necessity for automating the provision, in network elements and in the access operator, of the requests received by Neo-Sky clients. These requests may arrive via operation interfaces and unattended mechanisms.. Among the adaptations that have been developed are:

  • Pre-assigned client.
  • Pre-assigned server.
  • Automation of the treatment of pre-selection orders.

The system uses as its base the solution IPC (Integrated Provision Center) of the platform IAP of DCI, for the handling of client pre-selection orders.

Amena

- Amena

Tecsidel brings to Amena the competences of the “operation support” centre OSS. To be exact, the collaboration is centred on the development of services to do with Mediation for Mobile networks, development of probes for monitoring networks through element managers and new functions of alarm management through the software Netcool by Micromuse, of whom Tecsidel is partner.
